MantleLetter July 2022
July was a significant month in AssetMantle’s history, as the community saw the Alpha-Mainnet for the Mantleplace platform go live for the first time. This early version had limited functionality but nevertheless was a significant demonstration of the team's commitment to delivering on their roadmap. Users could also register their username on MantlePlace for the first time, enshrining it on the blockchain and thus claiming it for themselves.
In addition, AssetMantle held its first governance proposal, proposal one focused on increasing the active validator set to allow for greater decentralization and further safeguarding of the network.
Key Statistics 📈:
The numbers below demonstrate the growth in the Mantle community as the Alpha-Mainnet for MantlePlace brings the project to life. In particular, the community saw significant growth in the number of Discord followers, increasing by 10%, whilst the number of on-chain transactions also increased significantly.

- 07/04 Following the increased rewards on Osmosis Dex, $MNTL pool 690 had amongst the highest combined APRs.
- 07/04 Proposal 270 on Osmosis Dex passed, the proposal allowed for matched incentives to be deployed to pool 690. You can view the proposal here.

- 07/18 AssetMantle held its first official governance vote on the AssetMantle chain. As a result of the proposal passing, the validator set will be increased from 50 to 55.

AssetMantle’s InterNFT standard aims to:
🔸 Define an inter-chain NFT interface to abide by so that it can be classified as an InterNFTs.
🔸 Define a wallet interface that will hold ownership of such NFTs, and provide transfer of ownership across all interoperable chains.

- 07/20 AssetMantle announces strategic partnership with NerdHaven, Nerd Haven is a team of NFT prodigies with an incredible experience with strategizing, marketing, and launching NFT projects! This partnership will provide AssetMantle with advanced strategies in the NFT space as well as help creators successfully execute their NFT projects on the platform. In addition, NerdHaven DAO will also play a critical role in the curation of MantlePlace, making MantlePlace the first decentralized marketplace fully governed by a set of DAOs.
